There could be a few reasons that your Topic Profiles aren’t picking up Instagram content in Social Studio. Luckily, there are a couple of quick fixes that you can apply right now!
First up, make sure that you have Instagram set as a Media Type in your Topic Profile. Some older Topic Profiles may not have had Instagram checked, so no content is coming through.
Use Hashtags as Keywords
Instagram thrives on hashtags, so make sure that you’re listening out for them. Adding hashtags as keywords will increase the likelihood of picking up Instagram content in your analysis. You can also exclude hashtags, too.
Test & Measure
Once you make these changes, test them out in Analyze. I’d recommend setting up a Workbench with a Media Type report, checking that Instagram content is coming through correctly.
